Homecoming

Week At NCHS

This week is Homecoming for Nashville Community High School and all NCHS Alumni.

The students have been celebrating by dressing up in unique ways this week.

Monday was Hat and T-shirt Signing Day, and Tuesday was Just Clowning Around Day.

Wednesday is What’s Your Spirit Animal? Day. Thursday is Color Day. The seniors wear black, juniors wear blue, sophomores wear red, freshmen wear white, and faculty and staff wear gray.

Friday, as always, is Spirit Day.

The students have voted for the homecoming attendants and the homecoming queen. The freshman attendant is Sarah Staley, the sophomore attendant is Kylie Kozuszek, and the junior attendant is Paige Kasten.

The Homecoming Queen candidates are Christine Garner, Shaelin Heiman, Janie Holle, Madi Oltmann, and Olivia Sturgill.

The traditional NCHS Homecoming Queen Coronation will take place during halftime at Friday’s football game against the Carterville Lions.

Friday is also the Homecoming Parade, which will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Concluding the week’s activities is a semi-formal dance which will be held on Saturday night from 8-11 P.M. in the high school’s north gymnasium.

Everyone is encouraged to support the Nashville Hornets and enjoy the homecoming festivities!
