The St. Ann/TSJ Softball team's season ended in the Regional Championship on September 26 as they fell to Opdyke Belle-Rive 15-9. St. Ann/TSJ softball defeated Coulterville and St. Bruno/Tamaroa to advance to the Regional Championship game.
On September 20, the St. Ann/TSJ Softball team began regional play against Coulterville. St. Ann/TSJ was able to easily come away with the victory 20-5 in the matchup. Ann/TSJ blew the game open in the third inning with 10 runs crossing the plate. Leading the way for St. Ann/TSJ was Katie May who finished 5-5 with two runs scored and a double. Cayla Krueger also had a great day at the plate, going 4-4 with four runs scored a walk, and a double. Reese Varel, Collen Jahnke, Tailor Pelczynski, Ruby Konkel, Lauren Rapp, and Kris May all scored runs for St. Ann/TSJ.
St. Ann/TSJ's next game was up against Tamaroa/St. Bruno on September 22. Again St. Ann/TSJ was able to win easily, as they cruised to an 18-2 victory. St. Ann/TSJ scored in every inning, including nine in the fifth to take control. St. Ann/TSJ was led by Varel and Krueger who each went 2-4 with a walk and at least one run scored in the game. Jahnke also had two hits, and four runs scored in the win. Abby Wesselmann chipped in two hits and two runs, while Kris May added three hits. Pelczynski, Konkel, and Katie May had the other hits in the win.
In the regional championship game St. Ann/TSJ fell behind 10-3 after one inning of play, and could not make a comeback, as they dropped the game 15-9. St. Ann/TSJ would score four in the third, and one each in the fourth and fifth but could not come all the way back. St. Ann/TSJ was led by Jahnke who finished 3-4 with a run scored. Katie May and Wesselman each had two hits in the loss, while Varel had the lone other hit. Krueger did not get a hit but drew five walks and scored four runs. Konkel, Lauren Rapp, and Kris May each reached base via the walk.
