Jr. Hornettes End Season

The Nashville Middle School Jr. Hornettes softball team saw their season come to a close in the first round of the SIJHSAA Class M State Tournament against South Central. The Jr. Hornettes took the early, but could not hold off South Central in the late innings, losing 8-7.

The Jr. Hornettes took the early lead in the game, with three runs in the first inning. Nashville started the game with three straight hits as Jordan Donato, Emmerson Paszkiewicz, and Whitley Hunter all singled to open the game. South Central would come back with two runs in the second, and take the lead with two runs in the fourth. South Central would not keep the lead for long, as Nashville came back with four runs in the fifth to take a 7-4 lead. South Central would tie the game in the sixth, and win the game in the seventh. South Central went on to win third place.
