Joe Antkowiak
Mr. Joe Antkowiak of Nashville, departed this life at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 11:25 P.M. He had attained the age of 101 years, 7 months and 20 days.
Mr. Antkowiak was born on March 4, 1915 at Washington County, the son of Steve and Marianne (Dubala) Antkowiak.
Joe was a grave opener for Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo., for many years until his retirement. Joe was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, and he enjoyed pinochle, gardening and fishing.
Left to mourn his passing are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death his parents, wife, two brothers, Frank and Casmir Antkowiak; three sisters, Cecelia Pinski, Josephine Bauza and Theresa Bauza.
Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10 A.M. with Fr. Bernard Goedded officiating and with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, on Friday from 9 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
