Ground Broken On Waltonville Gas Station

Locals break ground for gas station in Waltonville. Owners Johnnie and Wendy Smith of Ashley and Keith and Abbey Jones of Walnut Hill broke ground on the $1 million project Wednesday October 26 for Spartanville Fueling Station LLC (Named after Waltonville Spartans). State Representative Terri Bryant and Jefferson County Sheriff Travis Allen were in attendance along with members of the Waltonville village board, school board, and fire department. The gas station /convenience store will be located on 148 on the dam of the old Waltonville Lake. 3 grades of gas and diesel fuel will be sold. Country Mark will be the fuel brand supplier. This site can accommodate semi’s, boats, camper trailers, dump trucks, grain trucks, etc. Anticipated opening will be mid January.
