I really enjoyed trunk or treat at the Methodist Church Friday night. It was a great evening of cute trick or treaters , fellowship , delicious food and I had so much fun on the hayride that I went twice. Thanks to everyone for always making us feel welcome.

Richview Methodist Church women’s prayer and share is every Tuesday at 1:30 pm. Bible Study is every Wednesday at 6pm. Sunday morning services at 10 am. If you need assistance from the food pantry please contact Pastor Dennis Gambill at 249-6014.

Shakes and Ladders has some exciting news they are expanding next door..I can’t wait too see it.

Ashley Methodist Church invites all seniors to the first Thursday of November Senior Potluck Dinner at 6 pm with the theme being Thanksgiving dinner. All seniors are invited to attend you do not have to be a member of the Methodist Church to join them. Questions contact Dennis Gambill at 249-6014.

Ashley Community Committee has planned Christmas in November for November 12 from 8 am to 2 pm. Crafters and vendors will be available for Christmas shopping. Santa will be arriving at 10 am. Bring the kids and your fur kids out for a picture with Santa. A.C.C will be asking for a $1.00 donation at the door and the money will be donated to the Richview Methodist Church for their food pantry. Free kids crafts will be available for the kids. So see you at the Community Building.

A.C.C is proud to bring you a Comedy Night November 12 with former Ashley resident Kathy Zeman and friends. Doors will open at 6:30 pm at the Community Building. Admission is $7.50 per person and $10.00 per couple. B.Y.O.B and mixers will be available. No children allowed.

Ashley library invites all Veterans and citizens to come enjoy refreshments at the library Nov 11 from 9 am until 11 am in honor of their Veterans Day Open House.

Have you dined at the Lantern Pub lately? Every Tuesday is 10% off dine in only ages 60 plus. Wednesday and Sunday all you can eat fried chicken. Thursday night is kids night.

Are you registered to vote? If you need help getting registered to vote please contact Nancy Heseman at the Washington County Clerks office in Nashville.

I don’t know about you but I am ready for the election to be over. Absentee voting is available at the Washington County Clerks office Monday through Friday 8 am to 4pm and Saturday November 5 8 am to noon and Tuesday November 8 from 6 am until 7 pm.

I have decided too publicly announce that I will be seeking a position on the Village Board as a trustee in the April election. We love living here and have been blessed with great neighbors.

So I have decided I want to be active in the community and do everything I can to possibly make Richview better..

Richview now has a Facebook page called Richview Illinois and I try to keep it updated with anything that is going on locally so check it out.
