Cheryl A. Mill

Mrs. Cheryl A. Mill of Ashley, IL, departed this life at her residence in Ashley on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. She had attained the age of 52 years, 9 months.

Mrs. Mill was born on January 22, 1964 in Granite City, IL the daughter of Paul and Joyce (Privette) Zawaske. She was united in marriage to Carl Mill, Jr. on July 20, 1985 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville, IL and he survives her passing.

Cheryl was a pediatric nurse for St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia, IL for 29 ½ years. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville and she loved crafting, especially crocheting and cross stitch.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband Carl Mill of Ashley, IL; five children, Caleb, Caitlin, Adam, and Kenzie Mill all of Ashley and Abram Mill of Shreveport, LA; mother, Joyce Leffner of Ashley, IL; a sister, Renee Wyciskalla and husband Terry of Nashville, IL; a brother, Steven Zawaske and wife Sandra of Ashley, IL; step brother, Frank Leffner and wife Melissa of Ashley; brother-in-law, Les Mill and wife Barb of Nashville; sister-in-law, Bonnie Phillips and husband Jim of Ashley; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends, including her dear friends at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her father, father and mother-in-law, Carl and Lois Mill and a cousin, Michael Zawaske.

Funeral services were held at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville, IL on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 10 A.M. with Pastor Beverly Kahle officiating. Interment followed at the Knob Prairie Cemetery in Waltonville, IL.
