Letter: If Cameron Is Unable To Finish Term, She Should Resign

If Cameron Is Unable To Finish Term, She Should Resign

Dear Editor,

I recently read an article that Washington County Treasurer Kelly Cameron was on extended sick leave. With two years to go in her term of office, it seems unfair for her to keep everyone in the dark while she continues to receive her salary and benefits.

I originally hired Deputy Treasurer Darlene Ostendorf to work for me. If County
Treasurer Cameron will not be able to finish her term working in the office, it would be right for her to resign and let Deputy Treasurer Darlene Ostendorf step up and then draw the salary and benefits she would then deserve.

Just my thought.
