Searching For The Queen Of Hearts
Some cheers, some jeers: The crowd offered mixed reactions as Dan Heggemeier and Roger Kramm, RIGHT, read off the name of Eric Bochantin, LEFT, in the maroon shirt, walking up to pick his card at the Nashville American Legion’s Queen of Hearts drawing held on the evening of Wednesday, November 2. Bochantin selected number 49, the King of Clubs, and the crowd erupted in applause. If he had picked the Queen of Hearts, he would have received $80,600. As it was, he won $520. There are now just 11 cards left out of 52 on the Queen of Hearts board. This week’s drawing will be for an even higher potential pot, with one card less on the board that isn’t the Queen of Hearts. The drawing will be held at 7:30 p.m., in the upstairs ballroom of The Nashville American Legion. Tickets are $1 each, and sales end at 7 p.m. The crowd at last Wednesday night’s event packed the ballroom, but this week’s crowd will likely be even larger – more money to be won, and no Cubs game to compete with.
