Dolores C. Unverfehrt

Dolores C. Unverfehrt, 91, of Hoyleton, died Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was born March 8, 1925, in Ferrin, daughter of Richard and Hulda (Meyer) Rommelmann. She married Ralph Unverfehrt on June 15, 1947, in Ferrin, and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2010.

Dolores is survived by two children, Janis Debenport and husband Roger of St. Louis, Missouri, and Gary Unverfehrt and wife Linda of Hoyleton; a son-in-law, Peter Thielbar of Elmhurst; six grandchildren, Kristin Balon and husband Jason of Elmhurst; Jonathan Thielbar and wife Kelly of Chicago; Kimberly Thielbar of Rockford; Eric Debenport of St. Louis, Missouri; Dustin Unverfehrt of Hoyleton and Danelle Wilson and husband Andrew of Okawville; five great-grandchildren, Logan, Madison and Hudson Balon of Elmhurst, Eleanor Thielbar of Chicago and Abram Wilson of Okawville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Orville Heseman, Norma Rommelmann, Eunice and Robert Brink, Verdell Unverfehrt and Marie Cova. In addition to her husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Thielbar, a sister, Vera Heseman, and an infant sister who died at birth.

Dolores was a devoted farm wife and mother on the family farm near Hoyleton. She loved to travel with her husband and friends and had the opportunity to visit every state and many foreign countries. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton, the Ladies Aid and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends and family.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Aaron Kotila officiating. Internment will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, and an hour before services on Saturday, at the church.

Memorials may be made to the church, Wings of Hope or to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation.
