Rikki Tikki Tavi, played by Hannah Meade, prepares to fight Karait, played by Anastasia Aydt, at a dress rehearsal held on the evening of Monday, November 14. “Rikki Tikki Tavi”, written by Rudyard Kipling, and “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde, will be performed by the NCHS Drama Club at the NCHS Auditorium on Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19 at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, November 20 at 3 p.m. “Rikki Tikki Tavi” will run approximately 30 minutes and is being directed by NCHS Senior Jessica Clark. “The Importance of Being Earnest” will run approximately two-and-a-half hours and is being directed by drama club sponsor Leigh Ann Cloud. Tickets for the two shows are $5, and seating can be reserved ahead of time. To purchase tickets and reserve seats, contact Cloud at (618) 327-8286, or lcloud@nashville-K12.org. The drama club is also preparing for a dinner theater fundraising benefit that they are planning to hold in February at the Hoyleton Community Club. The event will help to pay for the club to head to the IHS Theatre Festival, and go towards rebuilding the front of the stage. More details will be available soon.
