On November 11, Assembly Hall played host to the 20th Annual Feeder School Shootout. The shootout saw each of the feeder schools compete as the teams from Nashville Middle School, Ashley, Hoyleton, St. Ann, Oakdale, and TSJ/ILS all competed. The schedule was filled out by St. Andrew’s Murphysboro, and Carlyle Jr. High School.

In the first match of the night, TSJ/ILS took control of the game early and defeated Ashley 53-19. The Titans held the Wolves scoreless in both the first and third quarters, and cruised to an easy victory.

In the second matchup of the night, Oakdale took control early to defeat Hoyleton/Grand Prairie 53-21.

The Saints faced off against St. Andrew’s (Murphysboro). The Saints fell behind early in the matchup, but came back to win 24-19 with a furious rally in the second half.

The shootout culminated with a matchup between Nashville Middle School and Carlyle Jr. High. The Jr. Hornets athleticism and size was too much for Carlyle to overcome as the Jr. Hornets stayed undefeated on the season with a 56-21 win over the Indians. The Jr. Hornets record is 6-0.
