Washington County 4-H Clubs had a friendly scarecrow decorating contest, one which was by the scarecrow made by the Nashville Eager Beavers and is on display in the windows of Sonya’s Gotta Dance Studio in Nashville.

The Eager Beavers have also helped to provide new benches and garbage cans which have been installed in front of the Washington County Courthouse and are made of recycled plastic collected by the Eager Beavers. There will be a dedication ceremony for the benches soon.

4-H is open to all children ages 8 to 18. For more information on 4-H, contact the Washington County University of Illinois Extension Office and ask to speak with Deb Guest or Rhonda Mueller.
