Groennert And Huelsmann Wed

Kristen Nicole Groennert, daughter of Scott and Barb Groennert of Nashville, Illinois and Ryan Joseph Huelsmann, son of Wayne Huelsmann and Gail and Mike Peters of New Baden, Illinois were united in marriage on October 1, 2016.

The ceremony was held at Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville, IL, with Pastor Bill Groennert officiating. Vocalists were Shelly Oltmann, godmother of the bride, and Courtney Groennert, cousin of the bride. Organist was Jewell Meyer, friend of the family.

The maid of honor was Megan Groennert, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Courtney Groennert and Angela Groennert, cousins of the bride, Alisha Sabo, Emily Walton, and Sara Kehrer, friends of the couple. The flower girl was Kennedy Porterfield, friend of the couple.

The best man was Josh Gunn, friend of the couple. Groomsmen were John Book, Jason Heinzmann, Jesse Porterfield, and Mike Steuart, friends of the couple, and Brad Huelsmann, brother of the groom. The ushers were Riley Edwards, cousin of the bride, Clayton Gonsalves and Brian Martens, cousins of the groom. Junior groomsmen was Trey Mense, godson and cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Mason Steuart, friend of the couple.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at the American Legion Post 1026 in Albers, IL.

The couple honeymooned in Castries, St. Lucia and currently reside in Damiansville.
