Paul F. “Frosty” Frese

Mr. Paul F. “Frosty” Frese, of Ashley, departed this life at his residence surrounded by family on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 12 A.M. He had attained the age of 65 years, 5 months and 21 days.

Mr. Frese was born on June 7, 1951 in St. Louis, the son of John and Marilyn (Nikrant) Frese. He was united in marriage to Mary Senior on January 12, 2012 and she survives his passing.

Frosty worked at National Mines in Nashville, for many years and later for the State of Illinois as a conservation officer at the Washington County State Lake. He was of the Catholic faith and he enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.

Paul is survived by his wife, Mary Frese of Ashley; his mother, Marilyn Frese of Ashley; two sons, Jason Frese and wife Lisa of Troy, Mo., and Justin Middendorf and friend Adam Mocaby of Covington; two daughters, Melissa Dehner and friend Teresa Stephens of O’Fallon, Mo., and Chloe Kellerman and fiancé Ashley Jones of Pinckneyville; two stepchildren, Candi Senior of Chicago, and Keith Senior and wife Casey of Nashville; six grandchildren, Tyler Dehner, Brandon, Logan and Jayden Frese, and Ella and Sophia Jones; three step-grandchildren, Stef, Rylan and Rigden Senior; four brothers, David Frese and wife Cosing, Steve Frese, Glen Frese and wife Diana and Robert Frese; two sisters, Elaine Konkel and husband Bob and Jane Kania and husband John; mother-in-law, Anne Szopinski; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, father-in-law, Frank Szopinski; sister-in-law, Georgie Frese; aunts, uncles, nephew and cousins.

A prayer service will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 7 P.M. with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Per the wishes of Frosty and his family, cremation will be performed after the services and burial of ashes will be held at a later date.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, on Thursday from 3 P.M. until the service hour.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice or SSM Home for Hospice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
