The Nashville Hornettes Girls Golf team dominated the Class 1A All-South team this season, as six members from the Hornettes IHSA Class 1A State Runner-Up team made the team. Rachael Kell, Hope Rueter, Jill Guetersloh, Sara Guetersloh, Brooke Bartling, and Jordan Stiegman each made the team, as well as Head Coach Doug Kell, who won Coach of the Year.
Jill Guetersloh finished in the top ten at the Okawville Invitational, the Pinckneyville Invitational, Conference, the Regional and the Sectional. Jill Guetersloh's average this season for 18 holes was 86.1.
Sara Guetersloh, who is signed on to play golf at Eastern Illinois University next season, finished in the top ten five times this season, with her best finish coming at Conference, where she finished fourth overall. Sara Guetersloh's 18 hole average this season was 88.25Rachael Kell finished first overall in the Mascoutah Invitational, and the Okawville Invitational, and finished with an 18 hole average of 82.8 this season.
Rueter also finished first in at the Okawville Invitational, as well as second place finishes at the Regional and Sectional. Rueter's 18 hole average this season was 81.9, the lowest of each of the Hornettes.
Stiegman's top finish this season was a second place finish at the Pinckneyville Invitational, and had top ten finishes at the Okawville Invitational, Conference, and the Regional. Stiegman finished with a nine hole average of 43 and an 18 hole average of 91.3 this season.
Bartling's top finishes this season, were a third place finishes at both the Nashville Invitational and the Okawville Invitational. Bartling also finished fifth at Pinckneyville this season. Bartling's nine hole average was 44.3 this season, and her 18 hole average was 90.9.
