Nashville American Legion Auxiliary Prepares Care Packages For Active Duty Military
Terry Campbell, Joan Schorfheide and Phyllis Meier of Nashville American Legion Auxiliary Unit 110 prepared care packages for a number of active duty military personnel. Two of the care packages were headed to personnel stationed in Korea, while the rest of those receiving them are stationed in the U.S. The care packages included lots of items: coffee, granola bars, hot cocoa, toiletries and more. The items were all given to the Auxiliary as donations, including a giant box of Slim Jim beef jerky. Once the care packages were sent, Meier stated that any leftover items would be brought to the U.S.O. at the airport in St. Louis.
