The TSJ/ILS Lady Titans girls basketball team, bounced back from a loss to Tamaroa/St. Bruno to win three straight games over Ashley, Hoffman, and Trinity Centralia.
In their first game of the week, Tamaroa/St. Bruno used a big fourth quarter, to get past the Lady Titans 38-29. TSJ/ILS took a 12-9 lead after the first quarter, but Tamaroa/St. Bruno was able to cut the lead to two points going into halftime. In the second half, Tamaroa/St. Bruno was able to take the lead in the third quarter, after outscoring TSJ/ILS 10-7 in the frame. In the fourth, Tamaroa/St. Bruno put the game away, and went on to a nine point victory.
The Lady Titans were led by Madisyn Wienstroer, who finished with 10 points in the contest. Megan Rennegarbe finished with eight points, followed by Cayla Krueger with six points. Katie May finished with three points in the loss, and Halle Rueter scored two points to round out the scoring.
TSJ/ILS got back on the winning track with a 35-20 win over Ashley. TSJ/ILS took control early, as they outscored Ashley 11-2 in the first quarter. TSJ/ILS continued to add onto their lead as they outscored Ashley 7-4 in the second quarter, and 13-4 in the third quarter. In the fourth, Ashley made a run, but the Lady Titans cruised to a fifteen point win.
Katie May and Rennegarbe each finished with 12 points in the game, to lead the Lady Titans. Wienstroer scored six points, followed by Rueter with four points. Krueger scored one point in the win.
The Lady Titans next challenge was up against Hoffman. The Lady Titans scored early and often, on their way to a 40-17 victory. TSJ/ILS took control of the game in the first, as they outscored Hoffman 8-0. The Lady Titans continued to build their lead in the second and third quarters as they outscored Hoffman 8-5 in the second, and 14-8 in the third. In the fourth, TSJ/ILS cruised to victory.
Katie May and Rennegarbe each finished with 10 points to lead TSJ/ILS. Krueger finished with seven points, followed by Wienstroer with five points. Raelyn Obermeier finished with four points while Rueter and Hanna Niedbalski finished with two points apiece.
TSJ/ILS won their third straight game with a 40-20 victory over Trinity Centralia. The Lady Titans held a four point lead after the first quarter, which ballooned to a 12 point lead at halftime. In the second half, the Lady Titans were too much for Trinity Centralia, as they went on to a 20 point victory
TSJ/ILS was led by Katie May with 14 points, followed by Krueger with 10 points. Wienstroer added nine points, while Rennegarbe scored three points. Lydia Kurtz and Kris May finished with two points to round out the scoring.
