After dropping a game to Central City, the TSJ/ILS Lady Titans bounced back to beat St. Ann and St. Libory in back-to-back games this past week.
The Lady Titans began the week with a 44-27 loss to Central City. Central City jumped on the Lady Titans early and took a 17-6 lead after the first quarter. TSJ/ILS would make a run in the second as they outscored Central City 11-3 in the frame to cut Central City's lead to just three points going into halftime. In the third quarter, neither team could gain an advantage as each team scored seven points in the quarter. Central City put the game out of reach in the fourth as they outscored the Lady Titans 17-3 in the final quarter, to win the game 44-27.
The Lady Titans were led by Katie May who finished with eight points in the win. Madisyn Wienstroer scored six points, while Megan Rennegarbe scored five points. Halle Rueter chipped in four points, and both Cayla Krueger and Raelyn Obermeier each finished with two points in the loss.
The Lady Titans bounced back with a 38-22 win over St. Ann. TSJ/ILS took control of the game in the first half, as they outscored St. Ann 25-8. In the second half, the Lady Titans cruised to a 38-22 victory.
Three players led TSJ/ILS in the game, as May, Rueter and Wienstroer each finished with eight points apeice. Rennegarbe scored seven points, followed by Obermeier with five points. Krueger rounded out the scoring with two points.
In their last match of the week, TSJ/ILS used a big third quarter to put away St. Libory 37-25. The Lady Titans took an 11-8 lead after the first quarter of play, and extended their lead in the second quarter, as they outscored St. Libory 7-3 to take a 18-11 lead into halftime. The Lady Titans put the game away for good in the third quarter, as they outscored St. Libory 13-3 and held a commanding lead going into the fourth quarter. In the fourth, St. Libory made a run but could not complete the comeback as the Lady Titans took the game 37-25.
May led TSJ/ILS with 21 points in the win. Rennegarbe added eight points, while Krueger and Wienstroer each scored four points for the Lady Titans.
