December 18

James K. Hodge, 53 of Richview, was driving a 2010 Ford F-150 when it struck a deer on State Route 15 near Texas Road. No injuries were reported.

A Washington County Deputy responded an area near State Route 127 and Pierce Road for a reported four-wheeler complaint.

On December18, 2016 a Washington County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a report of reckless driving in Okawville.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office conducted a motorist assist on Interstate 64 near the 45 mile marker.

December 17

Emily J. Hynek, 18 of Pinckneyville, was driving North on County Highway 21 in a 2006 Pontiac when she crossed State Route 15 due to icy road conditions and struck a sign. No injuries were reported.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to South Grand Road near Harrison Road for a report of a vehicle in the ditch.

A Washington County Sheriff's Deputy conducted a welfare check on a resident in rural Hoyleton.

A Washington County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a report of a burglary in Addieville.

December 16

A Washington county Deputy responded to a roll-over crash on County Highway 17. Michael T. Liszewski, 45 of Nashville swerved to miss a deer and slid on the ice, causing the vehicle to over-turn. Liszewski was transported by ambulance to the Washington County Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Ali L. Meister, 22 of Spencer, IA, was driving a 2005 Ford Mustang on State Route 15 near Schwering School Road when her vehicle left the roadway and overturned. No injuries were reported.

Talyn E. Sands, of Belleville, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt on State Route 177, near State Route 127, when the vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned. No injuries were reported.

Ryan A. Zinck, 29 of Mascoutah, was driving a 1998 Ford Ranger on Stone Church Road near Todd Road when the vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned due to icy road conditions. No injuries were reported.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to State Route 15 and County Highway 21 for a report of a one car rollover. Deputies and Addieville Fire Department were unable to locate the accident.

A Washington County Deputy responded to a weather related traffic crash on County Highway 13. Kieth M. Stefanisin, 32 of Bartelso, IL lost control on the ice and his vehicle left the roadway causing the vehicle to roll over.

A Washington County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a report of a motorist assist on Interstate 64 near mile marker 57.

December 15

The Washington County Sheriff's Office took a report of Harassment By Telephone from a Dubois, IL resident.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to Interstate 64 near the 41 mile marker for a one vehicle accident. A vehicle driven by Gwendolyn D. Shaw, 54, of Carbondale, IL lost control of the vehicle she was driving, causing the vehicle to overturn. Injuries were reported.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office assisted a motorist on State Route 127 north of New Minden.

December 14

The Washington County Sheriff's Office conducted a motorist assist on U.S. Highway 51 and Dubois Blacktop Road.

December 13

A Washington County Deputy provided a motorist assistance on State Route 15.

Washington County Sheriff Deputies assisted the Okawville Police Department on a domestic trouble incident.

December 12

A Washington County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a report of criminal damage to property in rural DuBois.

A Washington County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a one vehicle accident in rural Nashville. John Wells, 23 of Ashley, lost control of his vehicle and went off the roadway. Mr. Wells was issued citations for disobeying a no passing zone, failure to reduce speed to avoid a accident, operating a uninsured motor vehicle, and driving too fast for conditions. Nashville Fire Department and Washington County Ambulance responded. Mr. Wells was transported by Ambulance to Washington County Hospital where he was treated and released for minor injuries. The vehicle sustained damage over $1500 and was towed from the scene by A&C towing.

A Washington County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in rural Coulterville.
