This Week’s Pets For Adoption

This week’s pet for adoption was a six month old male border collie – Great Pyrenees mix. In honor of a Great Pyrenees owned by the editor’s friend (who turned 9 the day before publication), this dog’s Nashville News Staff-suggested name is Noah.

Who’s a good boy?

Noah is.

He’s such a good boy that for Christmas this year, he’s been adopted.

The real pet of the week (sharp-eyed readers may have noticed that the photo accompanying this was of a cat…), is this young, small female mute Tortie, very nice and looking for a home. “Frosty” might be a good name for her, as she was found as the weather turned bitter.

Dogs available for adoption include a three-year-old male black and tan Rottweiler mix, a six-month-old male black and white pit bull, a one-year-old male black and tan cattledog mix, a three-year-old male black and white lab mix, a one-and-a-half-year-old male tan lab, a two-year-old female blue-brindle pit mix, and a three-year-old black-brindle lab mix.

There are four cats available for adoption at this time.

Dog adoption fee is $30, which includes an AVID identification chip and $50 off spaying or neutering.

The shelter also accepts donations of aluminum cans to help cover costs.
