Gladys Harre

Gladys Ann Harre, 79, of Nashville, passed away at 2:12 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2016, at her residence.

She was born on December 22, 1937 in Nashville, the daughter of Elroy and Alma Wiese Schwankhaus. She married Robert Harre on September 21, 1957 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville and he passed away on January 27, 2011.

Left to mourn her passing is a brother, Bobby Dean (Sue) Schwankaus of Okawville; a nephew, Joseph Schwankhaus and his sons, Colton and Brenen of Derieder, La.; a niece, Jennifer (Ryan) Lynch of Mt. Vernon; two sister-in-laws, Lucille Nagel of Nashville and Catherine Jolkovsky of Woodstock, Ga.; and her longtime companion “Rusty”, her dog.

Mrs. Harre enjoyed sewing and crocheting and going places with her husband.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Arthur Eichorn officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Nashville.

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
