TSJ/ILS Lady Titans Win Three Of Four

The TSJ/ILS Lady Titans have won three of their past four games as they picked up wins over Waltonville, St. Mary's Mt. Vernon and Hoyleton. The Lady Titans lone loss came to Edwardsville.

The Lady Titans came out of the gate strong in a 44-31 win over Waltonville. TSJ/ILS outscored Waltonville 15-8 in the first quarter to grab the early lead. After an even second quarter of play in which both teams scored 11 points, Waltonville made a run in the third, as they outscored TSJ/ILS 8-4. In the fourth, the Lady Titans put the game away for good, as they came away with a 13 point win.

Katie May led the way for the Lady Titans with 15 points. Cayla Krueger added 12 points, followed by Dylan Benson with eight points. Halle Rueter scored five points in the win. Megan Rennegarbe and Madisyn Wienstroer each scored two points in the game.

After falling behind in the first quarter, the Lady Titans came back to defeat St. Mary's Mt. Vernon 33-29. The Lady Titans fell behind 10-7 at the end of the first, but were able to take a 15-14 lead into the halftime break. In the third the Lady titans, again outscored St. Mary's but still only held a narrow two point lead going into the final stanza. In the fourth, St. Mary's could not make a comeback, as the Lady Titans held on for a four point victory.

May again led the team with nine points, followed by Krueger scored seven points. Rennegarbe and Wienstroer each scored six points apiece, while Rueter added three points. Raelyn Obermeier rounded out the scoring with two points.

The Lady Titans dropped their next game 46-24 to Edwardsville, as they could not overcome a slow start. The Lady Titans were outscored 11-1 in the first quarter, and could not muster a comeback in the game. TSJ/ILS kept up with Edwardsville for the rest of the game, but could not overcome the slow start.

May led Nashville with 12 points in the loss. Rennegarbe scored seven points, while Rueter chipped in two points. Krueger, Wienstroer, and Benson all scored one point apiece.

The TSJ/ILS Lady Titans got back on the winning track with a 33-29 win over Hoyleton. The Lady Titans took control in the first half, as they took a 24-12 lead into the halftime break. In the second half, Hoyleton was able to outscore TSJ/ILS but could not come all the way back, and the Lady Titans held on for a four point victory.

May led TSJ/ILS with 13 points, followed by Rennegarbe and Kruger with six points apiece. Wienstroer added five points, while Rueter scored three points.
