Brammeier and Engele Exchange Vows

Kourtney Renee Brammeier wed Matthew Ryan Engele at half-past one in the afternoon on October 22, 2016, during a ceremony officiated by Pastor Aaron Kotila at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville. Kourtney is the daughter of Daryl and Natalie Brammeier of Oakdale and Matt is the son of Gary and Karla Engele of Nashville.

Kourtney is the granddaughter of Louis and Verdell Niermann of Hoyleton and Leslie and Alice Brammeier of Oakdale.

Matt is the grandson of Helen Engele of Nashville, and the late Norman Engele, Raymond Haynes, Mary Haynes, and Nola Haynes all of Nashville.

The church was adorned with a theme of burgundy and gold. Kourtney chose her friend, Sara Twillmann, as her maid of honor.

Bridesmaids included Julia Unverfehrt, cousin of the bride; Taylor Brammeier, cousin of the bride; Keeghan Ryterski, friend of the couple; and Ashley Engele, sister-in-law of the groom.

All of the bridesmaids wore burgundy floor-length chiffon strapless gowns with a sweetheart neckline.

Rilynn Engele, niece of the groom, was the flower girl. Rilynn wore an ivory ball-gown with a horsehair layered skirt in similar fashion to the bride’s.

The groom chose his brother, Christopher Engele, as his best man.

The groomsmen were Joshua Snead, Brandon Reckmann, Patrick Weathers, and Ryan Keller, all friends of the couple.

The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with burgundy ties and vests.

The ushers were Tyler Brammeier, cousin of the bride and Jonathan Lingow, friend of the couple.

Bridal attendants were Andrea Oswald and Lauren Brune, both friends of the couple.

Bells were given out by Lauren Rapp, cousin of the bride and Sophia Lamczyk, cousin of the groom.

The grandparents and parents were seated to There is Love performed by guitarist Patrick Weathers and vocalist Lindsay Fark. The bridal party processed into the church to Canon in D followed by the bride whose entrance was accompanied by Trumpet Voluntary performed by organist Kathy Unverfehrt and trumpeter Len Campbell.

The bride wore an Eddy K beaded bodice ball gown featuring a tulip horsehair layered skirt and train. The bride wore her Grandmother Niermann’s diamond ring on her right index finger. She carried a bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas with blush pink accents and dark cascading greenery.

The reception was held at the St. Libory American Legion and was decorated with burgundy accents, candles, and gold pumpkins.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of Nashville Community High School and a 2016 graduate of St. Louis College of Pharmacy with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. She is currently a resident pharmacist at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville. The groom is a 2007 graduate of Nashville Community High School and a 2011 graduate from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a degree in business management. Matt is currently employed by Washington County Water Company in Nashville.

The couple plans to honeymoon in the summer of 2017.
