As a friendly reminder the Annual meeting for the Hoyleton Community Club will be Monday. January 16 at 7:30 p. m.

Bids for the custodian position are being solicited by the Club. The right to accept or reject any or all bids is subject to Board review. Please submit your bid to Patricia Rensing, 22774 Walnut Hill Road, Hoyleton, IL 62803. Bids for custodian services may be submitted up to the start of the annual meeting.

Annual dues for your membership to the Community Club are now due. Dues are $10.00 per person. As a member of the Club you are entitled to discounted rental rates for the premises. Dues for calendar year 2017 are to be paid by March 1, 2017. Please mail your dues to Jim Muenter, Treasurer, 25781 Sycamore Road, Centralia, IL 62801.

A career Army Veteran that works with Deb Holle has donated 2 St. Louis Blues tickets to the Hoyleton Veteran’s Memorial Project! It’s time to start a Friendly Bidding Challenge with proceeds going to this project. Game is Blues vs Florida Panthers, Scottrade Center, Monday, February 20, 2017, 7 PM in Section 306, Row 8. You can bid by leaving a message with name & amount to Deb Holle at 618-780-0357. Let’s Go Blues!

Birthday greetings: Laura Beckmeyer (January 8); Casey Beckmeyer & Wayne Unverfehrt (January 10); Caleb Harkness (January 14); William Causer (January 15) and Marlene Newman (January 16). Be sure to extend congratulations to our celebrants!

Zion UCC will celebrate the 2nd Sunday of Epiphany on January 15. Scripture will be I Corinthians 1:1-9; and John 1:29-42. Pastor Bill’s sermon will focus on “What Are You Looking For?” What if our faith is a gift of God rather than our personal achievement? What if religion is not what we do for God, but rather what God does for us?
