Here is a list partial list of upcoming scholarships:
CBAI FOUNDATION SCHORLARHIP FOR COMMUNITY BANKING (sponsored by Farmers and Merchants Bank) – Applicants must be a high school senior. Applications are available in the scholarship file in the counseling office and are due by January 20, 2017.
NAVY/MARINE ROTC SCHOLARSHIPS – Applicants must be in the top 10% of their graduating class. Navy and Nurse Option – minimum ACT math score of 21 and English score of 22 or a minimum SAT math score of 520 and critical reading score of 530. Marine option – minimum ACT composite score of 22 or combined SAT math and critical reading score of 1000. Scholarship can be used at a college or university that has a NROTC program. AMERICA'S FARMERS GROW AG LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP – Applicants must plan to pursue an ag-related degree. Applicants must submit an online application by February, 1, 2017. For application instructions, visit: https://www.ffa.org/ SiteCollectionDocuments/ sch_AFGAL_student-instructions.pdf.
ILLINOIS PTA SCHOLARSHIP – High school seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher planning to enroll in an education-related degree program may apply. The application may be found at http://illinoispta.org/scholarshipapplication.html. Applications are due by February 15, 2017.
ILLINOIS CHEMICAL EDUCATION FOUNDATION HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP – Applicants must plan to pursue chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or chemistry education. Application requirements are available in the scholarship file in the counseling office. Applications are due to ICEF by February 17, 2017.
FARM CREDIT ILLINOIS AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP – To be eligible, students must pursue an ag-related career. The application to apply for the scholarship can be found at http://farmcreditil.com/resources/community/scholarships/ Pages/default.aspx. Applications are due February 27, 2017.
KASKASKIA COLLEGE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS – To apply, students may visit the Foundation Scholarship website for instructions for completing the electronic application. Students must go to https://apps.kaskaskia.edu/ and create a login to complete and submit the application. Applications are due February 27, 2017.
INDEPENDENT ORDER OF THE ODD FELLOW AND REBEKAHS OF ILLINOIS SCHOLARSHIP – The application can be found at https://ioofil.org/programs/ state-projects/ and are due February 28, 2017.
ILLINOIS AMVETS SERVICE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS – Seven different scholarships are offered. Eligibility varies by scholarship. For more information, visit http://www.ilamvets.org/WhatWeDo/Programs/Scholarships/ tabid/120/Default.aspx. Applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2017.
NATIONAL DEFENSE TRANSPORTATION ASSOCIATION SCOTT/ST. LOUIS CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP – The NDTA scholarship is available students pursuing a degree program related to business, transportation logistics, or physical distribution. The applications are available in the scholarship file in the counseling office and are due March 1, 2017.
ILLINOIS ODD FELLOW-REBEKAH SCHOLARSHIP – Applicants must provide proof of financial need by submitting a current copy of IRS 1040 or proof of electronic filing. Applicants must maintain a "C" grade average. Applications are available on their website: http://www.ilamvets.org/WhatWeDo/Programs/ Scholarships/ tabid/120/Default.aspx. and are due March 1, 2017.
2017 FUTURE HEALTHCARE HERO AWARD – Applicants must pursue a health science program and intend to practice in a rural or underserved setting upon completing the program. Applicants must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA. Applications are located in the scholarship file in the counseling office and are due March 1, 2017.
ENERGY BOOST UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARASHIP – Available to high school seniors accepted into SIUC's department of mechanical engineering and energy. For application info, visit: http://acerc.siu.edu/energyboost/scholarships/ undergraduate.php. Applications are due March 10, 2017.
College Fairs: As we encourage students to apply early to college, we also encourage parents and students to be educated about their decisions. An excellent avenue to find out about various colleges is a college fair. Listed below is the next college fair in our region.

ACT Testing Dates: The next ACT with open registration is February 11. Registration is due by January 13. Additional testing dates this year are April 8 and June 10. Registration is typically due 5 weeks before the testing date. Students may register at www.ACTStudent.org. Our high school code is 143-110.
SAT Testing Dates: The next SAT with open registration is January 21. Deadline for late registration is January 10. Additional SAT testing dates for the year are March 11, May 6, and June 3. Registration is typically due 5 weeks before the testing date. Student may register at www.collegeboard.org. Our high school code is 143-110.
