Are you ready to get out of the house? Do you need a mid-winter break? St. Charles Parish in DuBois has a solution to those mid-winter blues. Come out for a wonderful evening of food, dancing, socializing, raffles, and bidding on some great auction items.
St. Charles is hosting the annual Snowball Dance and Auction on Saturday, January 21 at the KC Hall in DuBois. If you missed the ad in last week’s paper, you may contact Judy Pieszchalski (618-214-7209) for details of time, cost, and how to purchase advance tickets. Advance tickets may be purchased until Friday evening. Tickets purchased on Saturday will be for the at door price of $20 A drawing for $200, $100 and $50 will be held for all people purchasing tickets, whether you attend the dance or not.
We will once again be serving up a wonderful buffet of hors d’oevres beginning at 7:00pm. To satisfy your hungry tooth, we are offering a selection of mini cheesecakes, brownies and cookies.
Items to be auctioned off at the live auction include a beautiful handmade quilt, a handmade cedar chest, and two tickets to the Tim McGraw & Faith Hill concert to be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Scottrade Center.
In addition to the live auction, you will have the opportunity to bid on numerous items at our silent auction. There will be items for the kiddos as well as adults. This is an opportunity for you to bid on some beautiful handmade and one-of-a-kind items, as well as numerous other items that have been donated. We will be playing a Heads or Tails game for the chance to win a Fitbit Charge 2 valued at $150.00
For your dancing pleasure, One Night Stand will be providing the music from 8:00p.m. until 12:00a.m. For your listening pleasure prior to the dance, we will be featuring the talents of three of our own youth, Hannah Zyk, Ali Boczek and Layce Boczek.
