Clever uses for orange peels:

1. Deodorize the oven – set a pan of orange peels in the oven, bake at 350 for 15 – 20 minutes. It will give your kitchen a fresh citrus scent.

2. Fight stress – Leave the peels out to dry, then grind them in a food processor or blender until they form a fine powder. Sprinkle in you bath for a calming effect.

3. Shine metal – Rub the inside of an orange peel on fixtures like your faucets and shower heads. The citrus oil can remove other oils like grease and fingerprint residue

4. Ward off pesky insects – Flies, cockroaches and mosquitoes are not fans of orange oil. Place pieces of peel in bowls in the corners of your home to keep them at bay.
