Webinar: Infrastructure For Economic Development: Investing In Building Energy Savings
University of Illinois Extension’s Community and Economic Development team will host a free webinar, Infrastructure for Economic Development: Investing in Building Energy Savings, on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from Noon to 1PM, Central Time.
The webinar, the first in Local Government Education’s spring series on Infrastructure for Economic Development, will feature Todd Rusk and Robert Nemeth of the Smart Energy Design Assistance Center (SEDAC), who will be presenting a discussion on investing in building energy savings.
Counties, municipalities, and other public agencies can reduce operational losses and address deferred maintenance backlogs through cost-effective investments in building energy efficiency. Robert Nemeth and Todd Rusk will present case studies on energy efficiency projects at a variety of building types, in order to describe how to get started on planning for improvements and how to integrate those improvements with the capital planning process. The presentation will also include discussion on financial approaches that may allow for investment and savings, even when available capital is highly constrained.
There is no cost to attend the webinar; however, pre-registration is required. Register online at https://web.extension.illinois.edu/registration/?RegistrationID=15985 or contact Zach Kennedy at zkenned2@illinois.edu more information.
