Nashville FFA Places Second At Section Poultry Judging

    Members that participated were: FRONT ROW, Grace Gutjahr, Sarah Zyk, and Meghan Felts. BACK ROW, Emily Stern, Carli Hoffman, Riley Bergmann, Alex Johannes, and Tabor Kozuszek.

On February 24, eight Nashville FFA members went to the Section 21 Poultry Judging CDE hosted by the Bluford FFA Chapter.

The CDE consisted of a general knowledge test, live bird grading, carcass grading, further processed defects grading, exterior quality factors grading, parts identification, exterior and interior quality grading, and placing market birds.

Members were to judge to the best of their knowledge of the poultry industry and were scored individually.

Individual placings were: Alex Johannes – third, Carli Hoffmann – fourth, and Riley Bergmann – seventh. Overall, the Nashville FFA Team placed second.
