Jr. Hornettes Season Ends At Regionals

The Jr. Hornettes season came to an end this past week in the Regional Championship game against Breese in Carlyle. The Jr. Hornettes reached the Regional Championship game with a two game win over Carlyle. Nashville fell to Breese in three games in the Regional Championship.
In their first game at Regionals, the Jr. Hornettes took on Carlyle. The Jr. Hornettes only needed two games to advance to the Regional Championship as they beat Carlyle 25-17 in game one, and 25-18 in game two.
Whitley Hunter led the way with six kills and two blocks in the win. Ashlyn Frazier finished with three aces, while Reagen Burke had 12 serving points in the win.
The win over Carlyle clinched a berth in the Regional Championship game against Breese. The Jr. Hornettes started off well, as they took game one 25-20 over Breese. Breese took control in game two as they defeated Nashville 25-6, which set up a deciding game three. In the deciding game, Breese was too much for Nashville as they cruised to a 15-2 victory. Jordan Donato finished with two kill in the loss, while Hunter led the team with two aces and two blocks.
