Hi, it’s Becki from Nashville Grade School with the events for grades K-4 for the week of April 10– April 14.
If you need to register your child for Kindergarten please stop by the Primary School Office during normal office hours!
On Monday, April 10 our PreK, Kindergarten and Fourth Grade students will be getting their Spring Pictures taken. Order forms will come home with picture proofs later this month.
On Tuesday, April 11 our First, Second, and Third grade students will get their pictures taken. Again, order forms will come home with picture proofs later this month.
On Tuesday, April 11 our Fourth Graders will enjoy a field trip to Vandalia State House, Museum, and Interpretive Center to cap off their study of Illinois History.
Tuesday, April 11 is also Lego Club for our Third – Eighth Grade in the middle school cafeteria, Lego Club is over at 4:00. Students must have written permission to attend. There will be no phone calls home to confirm if a student is going to Lego Club. If your child does not return the permission slip or other written confirmation of attending, your child will go home as usual on this day. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Students who are registered to attend Jr. Hornets will be able to go there after Lego Club is over at 4:00.
The deadline to donate is Tuesday, April 11 for our 99Pledges fundraiser. We will award the top five fundraising students from the middle school and primary school with a cash prize on Wednesday, April 12 during our walk-a-thon celebration! We will use the money we raise to pay for field trips, assemblies, and non-detention activities. Go online to 99pledges.com/fund/ngs for more information!
Family PE Participation Day is Wednesday, April 12! Join us in the gym for some family fitness. Families with Kindergarten and first grade students will enjoy a festive Easter Activity. Our second and third grade families will be able to see their students in action for our weekly run. An informational handout of your student’s P.E. time is attached. All the information and times are also on the main page of the school’s website. We hope to see you then!
Wednesday, April 12 is an 11:30 dismissal, there will be no Jr. Hornets on this day. PreK and Early Childhood Class do not have school on this day. Progress reports will come home on this day as well. Please sign and return them to school on Wednesday, April 19th.
Spring Break is Thursday, April 13 – Tuesday, April 18.
Looking ahead:
Mark your calendar for Sunday, April 23. The Harlem Wizards will be in town to play our Vintage Nashville Hornets. The Vintage Hornets will feature our very own Mr. Reinburg, Mr. Cruser, Mrs. Moore, and Mr. Finke. All the fun will be at the NCHS Assembly Hall at 6 pm
Our Grandparent’s Day Program will be Friday, May 5 at 1:30 in the afternoon followed by room visits.
Eighth Grade Graduation will be Friday, May 12 at 7 pm.
Our Primary School Kick Off To Summer morning will be Monday, May 15th. Volunteers will be needed for this morning, more information will be coming soon.
Wednesday, May 17 is a 2:10 dismissal day.
Thursday, May 18 is Kindergarten Graduation and our Primary School Awards Assembly at 10:30am. May 18 is also our last day of school with an 11:30 dismissal.
