Work On 127, Nashville Exit To Be Closed Starting April 24

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that IL 127 will be intermittently restricted to one lane in each direction beginning April 24, 2017, weather permitting.

This work will take place weekdays between the hours of 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM.  These closures are necessary to perform pavement maintenance as well as removal and replacement of existing pavement and shoulders along this route.

Also beginning April 24, 2017, the eastbound entrance ramp and the eastbound exit ramp at I-64 will be closed for approximately 8 days.  Upon completion of the eastbound ramp work, the westbound exit ramp and the westbound entrance ramp will be closed for approximately 8 days.  These closures are necessary to complete pavement repairs on the I-64 ramps.  Detour routes will be posted during these ramp closures.

As significant traffic delays are anticipated, motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes.  Flaggers will be utilized to assist motorists making their way through the work zone.  The Department asks that all motorists be patient, slow down and use extreme caution when traveling near and through these work zones.

The contractor on this project is Howell Paving of Salem, Illinois.  Mr. Paul Grabowski is the Supervising Field Engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation.  If you have any questions concerning this project, you may contact him at (618) 346-3353.
