Sheriff’s Report – May 24, 2017

May 21

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to State Route 153 near Honeysuckle Road for a report of a traffic accident. Gwendolyn I. Keck, 53 of Coulterville, was driving a 2016 Ford when she struck the back of a 1996 Ford pickup driven by Kenneth P. Mumper, 53 of Coulterville. No injuries were reported.

A Washington County Deputy observed a suspicious vehicle on County Highway 21.

May 20

A Washington County Deputy responded to rural Okawville for a domestic disturbance.

A Washington County Deputy arrested Andrew J Straughter, 31 of Hoyleton, IL on a Washington County Warrant for failure to appear.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office located a person missing from St. Clair County on Waterworks Road, Okawville.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cord Road, Okawville in reference to a vandalism report.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to Okawville for a report of a male causing a disturbance.

A Washington County Deputy was dispatched to a reckless driving call on State Route 127.  The vehicle was located and it was not driving reckless.

May 19

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a one vehicle accident on State Route 177 near Hoyleton. Dalton J. Hirsch, 20, of Ashley, IL swerved to miss a deer, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway and enter into a pasture through a fence causing minor damage. No injuries were reported.

A Washington County Sheriff’s deputy assisted a motorist on I-64 with a disabled vehicle.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on County Highway 5 for a report of Criminal Damage to a vehicle.

May 18

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to Irvington, IL for a report of a suspicious noise.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to an area in rural Nashville, IL for a motorist assist.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in rural Nashville for a domestic battery.  Charles R. Phillips 47 from Nashville was arrested for domestic battery.  Sherry L. Phillips, 43 from Nashville was arrested for domestic battery.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy took a theft report in rural Nashville, IL.

May 17

A Washington County deputy took a criminal damage to property report from a rural Richview resident.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to rural Centralia, IL for a report of suspicious activity. David Wayne Mathis, 56, of rural Centralia, IL was arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm.

A Washington County Deputy responded to a vehicle fire on County Highway 21.  The fire caused damage to the roadway.

May 16

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office took a report of Identity Theft from a resident in Addieville.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office returned a phone call to a resident in Ashley in reference to Telephone Harrassment.
