Michael Tepe

Mr. Michael Tepe of Okawville, departed this life at his residence on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 2:27 P.M. after a brief illness. He had attained the age of 56 years and 4 days.

Michael was born in Belleville, on May 21, 1961 the son of Marvin and Dolores (nee Marquard) Tepe. He was baptized in the Olive Branch Lutheran Church in Okawville on June 11, 1961 and confirmed at Olive Branch on March 23, 1975.

Mr. Tepe was a faithful and life-long member of the Olive Branch Lutheran Church in Okawville. He was a 1979 graduate of Okawville High School and attended Kaskaskia College. He worked as a dairy and grain farmer on the family farm and he was a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau. Michael loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them.

Left to mourn his passing is his mother, Dolores Tepe of Okawville; five sisters and brothers, Angelia Siddell and husband Sam of Huey, John Tepe and wife Jeniffer of Red Bud, Samuel Tepe of Okawville, Matthew Tepe and wife Valerie of Venedy, and Michelle Adubato and husband Frank of Lincoln; 15 nieces and nephews; two great nieces; a great nephew; other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Tepe; a nephew and a great niece.

Funeral services will be held from the Olive Branch Lutheran Church in Okawville on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Art Eichhorn officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Olive Branch Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 9 A.M. until the service hour.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Olive Branch Lutheran Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
