Dolores Tepe
Mrs. Dolores Tepe of Okawville, departed this life in the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 4:20 P.M. after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She had attained the age of 80 years and 24 days.
Dolores was born in Venedy, on May 7, 1937 the daughter of Edward and Martha (nee Borrenpohl) Marquard. She was baptized in the St. Salvator Lutheran Church in Venedy on May 29, 1937 and confirmed at St. Salvator on March 18, 1951. She was a 1955 graduate of Okawville High School. Dolores was united in marriage to Marvin H. Tepe in the St. Salvator Lutheran Church on April 23, 1960 and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2016.
Mrs. Tepe was a homemaker and farm wife. She had previously worked as the custodian at the Okawville Senior Center and before getting married worked at Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis. She was a faithful member of the Olive Branch Lutheran Church in Okawville where she had previously been a member of the Ladies Aid and had formerly served as church custodian. Dolores loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to mourn her passing are her five children, Angelia Siddell and husband Sam of Huey, John Tepe and wife Jeniffer of Red Bud, Samuel Tepe of Okawville, Matthew Tepe and wife Valerie of Venedy and Michelle Adubato and husband Frank of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren, Melinda Wicklander (Carl), Emily Brough (Jon), Katie Franzen (Todd), Elisabeth Withrow (Jeff), Victoria, Abigail and Jonathan Siddell, Noah Tepe, Madelyn, Chloe and Wil Tepe, and Francesca, Ysabella, Bianca and Mitchell Adubato; three great grandchildren, Cassidy and Charlotte Brough and Ross Withrow; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews, other relatives as well as a host of friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Tepe who just passed away unexpectedly on May 25; a grandson, Christian Adubato; a great granddaughter, Theophilia Wicklander; two sisters, Norma Marquard and Erna Martens; and three brothers, Omer, Edward and Monroe Marquard.
Funeral services will be held from the Olive Branch Lutheran Church in Okawville on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 3 P.M. with Pastor Art Eichhorn officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Sunday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again on Monday from 12 P.M. until 1 P.M. then at the church on Monday from 2 PM. until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Olive Branch Lutheran Church or to the Immanuel Lutheran School and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
