May 29

A Washington County Deputy responded to I-64 for a possible domestic disturbance.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy spoke with a resident of New Minden in reference to a civil matter.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to rural Addieville, IL for a report of a single car accident on State Rt. 160 near Goldfinch Rd. Justin J. Schwankhaus, 21, of Okawville, IL died as a result of the accident.

May 28

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy was requested to respond to Ashley, IL for a report of suspicious activity.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy took a harassment by telephone report from a resident of Addieville.

May 27

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy took a report of damage to property from a residence in Addieville.

A Washington Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a welfare check at a residence in rural Addieville.

Washington County Deputies responded to a 2 car traffic accident on State Route 127 at Patriot Lane. Allen L. Porter, 84 of Nashville, IL was stopped on the shoulder of State Route 127 and turned into Marion D. Presswood, 43 of Sparta, IL. There were no injuries. Porter was issued a citation for Failure To Yield-Merging Traffic. Presswood was issued a citation for No Insurance.

May 26

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Zachariah D. Green, 26 from Vergennes, IL on a Washington County warrant.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Jacob M. Hackmann, 28 from Kell, IL for two outstanding Washington County warrants.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office took a theft report from a resident of rural Okawville, Illinois.

May 25

Dennis R. Wheat, 43 of Okawville, was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for a warrant.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a motorist assist on Interstate 64 near the 48 mile marker.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Anita R. Caragher, 55, of Aiken, SC for driving while license is suspended.

May 24

Ryan V Bass, 20 of Nashville, was driving a 2005 Kia on State Route 15 near Texas Road when the vehicle struck a guardrail. No Injuries were reported.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to  an area on Louisiana Road for a suspicious subject.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted Illinois State Police on Interstate 64 with a one car vehicle crash.

May 23

Jeremy D. McNealy, 47, of Roxana, IL turned himself in to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding Marion County Warrant.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2017 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an abandoned vehicle on State Route 15 west of Nashville.
