Dorothy T. Povolish
Mrs. Dorothy Theresa (nee Schultz) Povolish of Nashville, departed this life at the Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville, IL on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:54 A.M. She had attained the age of 95 years, a month and 19 days.
Mrs. Povolish was born on April 14, 1922 in Nashville, the only daughter of Walter and Celley (Pierjak) Schultz. She was united in marriage to Joseph A. Povolish on November 17, 1945 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, and he preceded her in death on November 24, 1995.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville.
Left to mourn her passing are her two daughters, Patricia Altvater and husband A. William of Town and Country, Mo., and Peg Mc Kenna and husband Dennis of Marietta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Teresa Altvater Johnson and husband Chris of Denver, Colo., Kara Altvater Giblin and husband Norm of Denver, Colo., Shannon Mc Kenna Griggs and husband Kevin of Atlanta, Ga., and Joseph Mc Kenna and wife Devon of Atlanta, Ga.; two great grandchildren, Kyleigh and Caden Johnson of Denver, Colo.; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 10 A.M. with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Ann Old Cemetery in Nashville.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, on Tuesday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 7:30 A.M. until 9:30 A.M.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials to the St. Ann Catholic School and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
