District 49 Students Put In The Miles

This year, Nashville primary school students ran a total of twenty-two times, running nine minutes every time.

The program does more than helps improve the students cardiovascular endurance and overall fitness. It also teaches the students about goal setting and working towards their personal best. This year the kids accomplished the following.

•  7th Graders – 28,486 Laps, 1,424.3 Miles – 24.1 Miles Averaged per Student for the year

•  5th Graders – 31,060 Laps, 1,553 Miles – 22.2 Miles Average

• 3rd Graders – 19,775 Laps, 988.75 Miles – 20.2 Miles Average

• 2nd Graders – 20,663 Laps/, ,033.15 Miles – 19.9 Miles Average

Total, the students ran  99,984 laps or 4,999.2 Miles…just under 5,000!
