Hornets Bass Fishing Team Finishes Second At Conference

The Nashville Hornets Bass Fishing team competed at the Conference Tournament at Kinkaid Lake just outside of Murphysboro. Eight teams competed in the tournament with Pinckneyville finishing third, Nashville finishing second, and Murphysboro taking first place.
Each school had two boats, with each boat able to bring in five fish over 12 inches. Overall, Murphysboro finished with 23.65 pounds, Nashville finished with 21.46 pounds, and Pinckneyville finished with 20.01 pounds.
Tanner McFeron, Jake Kwiatowski, Andrew Bierman, and Grant Reed all fished for the Hornets in the tournament. McFeron and Kwiatowski will fish in the IHSA State Tournament, scheduled for June 14-15 at Carlyle Lake.
