Summer Reading Program Attendees Learn Where Their Food Comes From

Children in the Nashville Public Library’s Summer Reading Program got a visit from Deb Sauerhage Lehde, the Washington County Farm Bureau’s Ag In The Classroom coordinator, who taught them a little bit about where their food comes from – and how it goes from the farms to their kitchen tables. ABOVE, Lehde reads “The Cow in Patrick O’Shanahan’s Kitchen”, by Diana Prichard. BELOW, kids work on arts and crafts, where they made a stand-up cow and pig puppets.
