Nashville Blue Racer Swim Team
The Nashville Blue Racer Swim Team has started their season off with a bang! They have competed in four swim meets so far this summer.
Their first meet on Tuesday June 13 in Millstadt, IL was a win with over score respectively 330 points to 270 points.
The second meet on Thursday June 15 was at Red Bud, IL with another win of 330 points to 318 points. That night was also an exciting night for Nashville swimmer Hazel Konkel, who broke the Red Bud pool record in the 13-14 girls 100 Freestyle with a time of 58.79 seconds. Way to go Hazel!!!
The Blue Racers hosted their first home meet of the season Tuesday June 20 against Pinckneyville. The Blue Racers earned their third win of the season with a score of 356 points to 305 points.
On Thursday June 22 they traveled to Sparta, IL for their swim meet. They had a huge success again with a win. The score was 369 points to 287 points.
This year the Blue Racers have had a great start. All swimmers and their families have worked hard along with Coaches Steve Browne and Karrie Kujawa to make it a successful start.
In upcoming news the Blue Racer Swim team has partnered with Bonnie’s Café for a Fundraiser on July 10 from 5pm to 8pm with a percentage of all sales coming back to the swim team. Thank you in advance for all your support to the Blue Racer swimmers.
