Hornets Compete In All-Star Games

The Nashville Hornets were well-represented in the Southern Illinois All-Star Game, which was held on June 9. Andrew Kash, Arturo Garcia, Cole Pedtke and Ethan Reid, all were chosen to participate.
Reid and Kash then suited up again on June 17, at the Shriners All-Star Game which was held in Bloomington.
The game was played at Tucci Stadium on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. Players visited the Shriners Hospital for Children in Chicago, took in a Central Illinois Miracle League Baseball game, a VIP event, and the Walk For Love, which was a walking/running event held before the game.
Reid graduated from Nashville as the Hornets all-time leader in receiving yards in a career, in a season, and in a game. Reid also is the Hornets all time leader in catches in a season, and catches in a career. Reid is also tied for the all-time record with 10 touchdown receptions in a season.
Kash finished out his career as Nashville’s all-time leading passer. Kash graduated as the Hornets leader in career touchdown passes, career passing yards, passing yards in a season, career passing attempts, and holds the record for passing yards in a single game with 342 yards against West Frankfort last season. Kash is also tied for passing touchdowns in a season with 17.
Garcia and Pedtke were both members of the Hornets defensive line this past season. Pedtke will play football at Missouri Baptist next season. Garcia will play football at Lindenwood Belleville.
