Mrs. Audrey Hargrove of Okawville, departed this life in the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 1:55 P.M. She had attained the age of 93 years, 10 months and 29 days.
Audrey was born in Brosely, Mo. on August 14, 1923 the daughter of Ernest Lee and Josie Mae (nee Butts) Thomas. She was united in marriage to William D. Hargrove in St. Louis, Mo. on June 1, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1993.
Mrs. Hargrove worked as a clerk and typist at the Burkhardt Manufacturing Plant in St. Louis until her retirement. She was a faithful member of the Nashville Assembly of God Church in Nashville.
Left to mourn her passing is a son, Dr. William Thomas Hargrove and wife Dianne of Pocomoke City, MD; a grandson,, and her former daughter-in-law.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Lee Hargrove; a grandson; a brother, Verlin Elwin Thomas; and four sisters, Virginia Ernestine Hayes, Doris Evelyn Smith, Mary Lee Fitzwater and Elois Olivette Corpening.
Graveside services will be held at the Zion Cemetery in Addieville, on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10 A.M. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery for the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
