Nathaniel P. Bergmann

Mr. Nathaniel Bergmann of Okawville, departed this life in the Memorial Hospital in Belleville, on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 5:02 P.M. He had attained the age of 36 years, 3 months and 22 days.

Nathaniel was born in Nashville, on March 23, 1981 the son of Timothy and Tamala (nee Schambon) Bergmann. He was baptized and confirmed in the St. Peter United Church of Christ in Okawville. Nathaniel was united in marriage to Mollie Kuhlengel in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Okawville on November 14, 2009 and she survives his passing.

Nathan was a 1999 graduate of Okawville High School and received his Associates Degree form Kaskaskia College in 2001. He continued his education at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Plant and Soil Science in 2003. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Okawville. Nathan enjoyed working out in his yard, golfing and he was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends but especially loved spending time with his two daughters, Olivia and Sadie.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Mollie and their two daughters, Olivia and Sadie Bergmann; his parents, Timothy and Tamala Bergmann; a sister, Brittany Hasheider and husband Nathan and their daughters, Addison, Emmerson and Coleson all of Okawville; paternal grandfather, Henry Bergmann of Nashville; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lois Bergmann and his maternal grandparents, Adolph and Elnora Schambon.

Funeral services will be held from the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Okawville on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Darwin Schrader officiating. Following the service, cremation will be performed.

Friends may call at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Monday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again on Tuesday from 7:30 A.M. until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a fund that has been established for both of his daughter’s college education, and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
