When the initial photo we received from the Partners for Pets of this week’s pet for adoption was out of focus, we headed to the shelter to shoot a new one. “Let’s see if we can get him to hold still,” said a member of the staff there.
After about 30 frames to get one in focus and sharp, we can see what she meant. Dolly with the Partners said that he is about six-months-old and loves attention, and he does seem to be very friendly, if a little hyperactive.
His Nashville News staff-suggested name is Slinky.
Other animals up for adoption include a three-year-old female spayed brown mix breed, a seven-year-old male tri-color mix breed, and a nine-year-old male tan pit mix.
There is one cat available for adoption at this time. If you are seeking a cat, please call ahead to see if any are available.
Dog adoption fee is $30, which includes an AVID identification chip and $50 off spaying or neutering.
The shelter also accepts donations of aluminum cans to help cover costs.
