NCHS Principal Pasero Departing For Superintendent’s Position In Chester

By Alex Haglund

Nashville Community High School Principal and former math teacher Brian Pasero announced to the school board that he will be leaving the district after having received tentative news that he would be offered the position of superintendent at the Chester School District.

At the NCHS Board meeting held on Monday, July 17, Pasero told the board, “nothing is official until Thursday night, the board won’t take action tonight, but I wanted to give the board and Mr. Fowler a chance to get the ball rolling on seeking my replacement.”

“Thank you for your time,” said NCHS Board President Shawn Cook.

“It’s kind of bitter sweet. Bitter for us, but sweet for you,” Cook told Pasero, joking.

“I certainly hope so,” Pasero responded.

District Superintendent Ernie Fowler said that he had enjoyed working with Pasero and added, “you’ll do a good job as superintendent,” and stated that he would be available if there was anything that Pasero needed.

“I have enjoyed my time here,” said Pasero. “I thank the district, the students, the teachers and the board for giving me this opportunity.”
