Quakes Finish Up Season
From Left to Right with their HS and College Commitment : John Schlueter (Mater Dei), John Hilpert (Freeburg, UMSL), Ryan Brink (Nashville, Lindenwood-Belleville), Brendan Schanz (Mascoutah, MacMurray), Michael Chaffin (Mascoutah, Benedictine University), Collin Kessler (Gibault, William Wood), Grant Muntan (Mater Dei), Bailey Reed (Collinsville, Illinois College), Ryan Siverly (Collinsville, SWIC), Noah Dressler (Mascoutah, Concordia University Chicago), Daniel Reed (Edwardsville, Illinois College), Brett Goestenkors (Mater Dei), Trevor Davis (Gibault, SWIC), and Kyle Petermeyer (Mater Dei).
The 18U Quakes Baseball team from Southern Illinois had another outstanding baseball season playing against the best college exposure teams in the Midwest. They won two championships in the five tournaments they played in this summer, winning the Diamond Sports Promotions Midwest Classic and the Triple Play Wood Bat Battle. They made the championship bracket in one other tournament but were rained out.
The team was coached by Damon Chaffin, Mike Brink, and Tim Hilpert.
