IHSA Team Academic Achievement Awards
Three teams from the Spring received IHSA Team Academic Achievement Awards for their work in the classroom last season. Girls Track and Field, baseball and softball all received the award.
The girls softball team finished with a 3.77 GPA. The Hornettes Softball team won their Regional, and lost to Pinckneyville in the Sectional Semi-Finals.
Girls track and Field finished with a 3.64 GPA. The Hornettes track team had a successful season in which they won the Tri-County Invitational, the Nashville Invitational, and the Class 1A Chester Sectional.
The baseball team finished with a GPA of 3.4. The baseball team won the Sirr Mississippi Division this past season, along with the IHSA Class 2A Red Bud Regional, and the IHSA Class 2A Benton Sectional. The Hornets fell to eventual State Champion Teutopolis in the IHSA Class 2A Sauget Super-Sectional.
