Kozuszek Wins Essay Contest

Essay Competition Winner Talanie Kozuszek.

Each school year, the Catholic Daughters of Americas sponsor an Education Contest for middle school students in Catholic schools.

The local chapter, Court of Our Lady of Lourdes #1790, oversees the contest in our area.

St. Ann Catholic School teacher Mrs. Marsha Holzhauer uses the contest as a learning tool in her English class having each student compose an essay.

Last year Talanie Kozuszek’s essay won first place at the district competition and then the essay was forwarded on to the state competition where she also won first place in Division II.

Talanie received prize money for each victory as well as a certificate of achievement.

Congratulations to Talanie and also Mrs. Holzhauer for using the contest as a learning tool.
